Saw it, that is why I did not get too much sleep last night, The decision in my eyes was definately incorrect.
I didn't like the fight (machida/shogun)... It seemed like they were just sparring. Aren't they both from Brazil? The unanimous decision was questionable... But do you think you deserve a Belt with just leg strikes? IMHO if you want to be champ, you got take out the champ.... Shogun was game, but machida was never in danger either.
They were both hurt from body shots and it showed but who was the agressor and if you were a judge that didn't know who the champ was how would you have scored it, IMO no brainer. bad decision on the judges.
********SPOILER BELOW ************* I'm a Machida fan but he didn't win that fight. But I can see how Shogun doesn't deserve the title after his showing either. Long boring fight. Five rounds and nobody had any decent strikes other than leg kicks. Shogun nullified Machida's striking but didn't dominate enough to say he was a clear cut winner. The next UFC fights are a week apart. UFC 105 is Nov 14th and UFC 106 is Nov 21st. Stay tuned. -Cody
