This ticket is from the crash i had in Oct 2009,

So, finally it ended today after going to the court 2 times, I ended paying the fine and got a point.

The CHP told that before i crashed i went in the dirt and because i was not maintaining the bike on the road, he gave a ticket. And the judge appealed it as guilty

I was speechless and could not say anything....This is big time fucked up...i had a serious accident and no one gives a shit abt it....its all about fuckin making money out of it...

I didnt care abt paying the fine, but i already have 3 points in my record ...WTF - does anyone know how many points for the license to be revoked

Sai it sucks that you got a ticket but consider yourself lucky it was only 1 point. I drove my car into a ditch when I was 19 and they tried to charge me with wreckless driving (8 points). My lawyer got it reduced to careless driving (3 points) all for sliding off the shoulder on an icy road.

Reckless driving is two points in CA (don't ask me how I know.... twice). Wherever yours occurred, Adam, must be on a different point system.

Sai, That's messed up for sure. IMO, no fine in the world couldn't teach the lesson that was learned that day, so it has to be about money. When the cop was inquiring about your speed, he mentioned, "I've already got a witness that says he heard you guys absolutely FLYING through here". :icon_bs:

Did anything happen with the property damage (fence)?

That sucks considering that fence would have fallen over if the wind blew hard enough!

I don't believe that website was very clear on the points. It's 4 points if they all happened in the last year but not 4 total on your record. Here is a better break down I believe.

As you acquire points, you place yourself in danger of losing your driver's license. The DMV has the right to suspend or revoke your driving privileges if you accumulate a certain number of points over a set period of time.

Four points within a 12-month period
Six points in a 24-month period
Eight points in a 36-month period

Contrary to popular thought, driving records are not automatically cleared of all points once the points are over a year old.

Sai, you have 30 days to appeal. Take pics of the road. blind corner after crest. If that doesn't work, appeal again. Then there is always traffic school.

Here is a trick, always plead not guilty, you get an extension, use it.

Usually, 6 mos down the road, the office wont show.

Disclaimer: the fore mentioned is not 100% garaunteed

yes it doesn't work, i tried it with my own ticket last year and 6 months later the officer did show up still. I think it's just a myth because it worked for a few people...

i'm still making payments on my $600 ticket...

I already appeared at the court with all the pics and explained to the judge and officer, but they still found me guilty..They were 6 other people b4 my case and all were found guilty....So, i guess unless u get a lawyer nothin gonna happen..The system is fucked up and thts all i can say..
