Heh, so it's that time of year. The short story is I'm laid off as of Monday, which kinda sucks. Granted I'm sorta used to it considering the fact I've been working seasonally for CalFire for the past four years. Work the summer, have my ass handed to me over the course of a fire season, and then let go when it rains and makes the weeds a little harder to burn again. As things go for now, I will be re-hired sometime in the Spring... Maybe April or May. And I will continue to be laid off every Fall until I either make permanent with the state or get a city firefighting job somewhere else. The upside? I have my weekends back!! Which means, naturally, I'll be around a whole lot more to go on the group rides that are posted up. Heck, might even be able to make it down to the Wednesday Night meet up this next week. So... Let's ride!!! ^_^ As for Wednesday night meetup...even if it rains or gets chillly there's plenty of space inside the Java Cafe. I was thinking maybe a Rock Band game soon. YES!
