mine has to be not getting into riding sooner, that and trackdays. It seems everytime I wanna go cash flow is always low or I have other crap to do. Anywho, now that i hav a bike i cant imagine life without one!
If you really want it If you really want something you will do whatever it takes to get it. At least that is the way my brain works. I have talked to many people that say they really want a bike and want to ride and enjoy what I enjoy, but most of them are full of crap as if you are a rider at heart you will find a way. Ride on my brothers as I know I will.
Regrets? Hm... I've only been riding 2 "seasons" so I don't have any as of right now. Well, not so much a regret than it is a "wish" I wish: ... I could have gone to a trackday this season ... I wasn't so scared taking turns on the street without braking to a near stop before following through ... it didn't take me 5minutes to get ready to ride ... there was a more local track so, in other words, if I never make it out to a track or whatever... i won't get all depressed. However, that's based on the fact that I haven't experienced one... so who know what'll happen once I get out there But, like Stoppie said, a rider at heart will find a way. Heh, I'll honestly say I'm not a rider at heart as I won't find a way at any means "just to ride". I know I'll find a way to ride, whether it's now or later, it'll be there... I just here for the ride :motorcyclelove_smil
Biggest regret: This is the most expensive hobby I've had. That said, I'm sorry I didn't get into it sooner. And I wish I had more money for track. Open to donations.
I wish I had gotten hooked on trackdays sooner. I might have avoided alot of pain from having too much fun on the streets.
If riding well was easy, everyone would be Ben Spies. Being a good rider takes knowledge, skill and practice. Work to get as much of these as possible. Don't have any regrets. -Cody
I have been riding for about three years, I only regret I didn't get into it sooner. LOL Now that I commute everywhere on my bike I can't ever imagine from this point on... not owning or riding a motorcycle ever again. Next year I plan on doing a track school and see a moto gp race next year.
Riding has introduced me to tons of good friends and the love of my life. I've had a cracking good time along the way too. What more could I ask for?
i have been riding for @32 years and the only regrets along the way were wishing i had better bikes or more time to ride. one of my favorite jobs i ever had was when i was a motorcycle messenger in los angeles. i rode all day and then rode night and weekends with friends. city riding is a whole different beast than sportbiking thru canyons. almost as different as dirt and street. you have to be aware so much more of moving objects around you and the possible escape routes. you can be a great rider but if you don't see that other vehicle ready to ruin your day you might as well stay home. it can sometimes feel like a video game where you get tunnel vision but you can't allow yourself to be sucked in like that. danger is everywhere and that is what keeps a keen edge on all that freedom you have out there. my only regret now is that many more people don't ride. can you imagine if half the vehicles on the road were bikes? awesome.
My only regret is taking so many years off riding. Now that I'm back, I'll never be without a bike again. Other than that, no regrets. I love riding. I do wish I could afford a track bike, and a dirt bike.
I regret I have to spend so much time at work. I regret that I wasn't able to go on one of my traditional 'epic' rides this year...or the year before...or the year before that. I regret that my Ken Hill bike is still in pieces.
Hey Hollywood, I did the motorcycle messenger in Bangkok Thailand during Lyndon B. visit in 1966! Only for a few weeks. trblmkr a +1, the cost of riding is way too expensive. My main regret would be dealing with non rider/owners. They don't seem to understand our life.
