My cop buddy is on scene of a motorcycle fatality at South Watt and Fruitridge. No further details.. Just sent me a text. Be safe out there
thats almost country out there, not quite though, i used to life in florin just south of there, and the cages dont care through there, they are in a hurry to get to elk grove the back way and don't pay attention to anything smaller than them, too many soccer moms that don't pay attention and guys that are just in a hurry to get home and dont care.
ugh... ya. I'm waiting on the name to see if its anyone from SCR, SRF, ect.. out of respect I won't post the name.
Sorry to hear that, must have been the nice weather today because I heard about a lot of moto accidents around town.
it happens every day my girl free lances at a news station so i here every one that dies on a motorcycles . like 85 % are killed riding in the city street , just riding around , thats one thing i never do its the hills or the track for me , i have a truck to go around the city much safer
I hate to hear about anyone going down. Just sorry to hear about it. WOW I feel just the opposite everyone I know who has been down or died.... did so canyon carving or in the hills... I actually feel safer riding in the streets. Funny you should mention that. I really feel safer on the streets of downtown sac. I just try to stay focused. There are no normal values or consistency in street riding. Well I take that back unpredictabilty is always constant...
Don't know the particulars but death of a rider has a way to shake one's confidence... it's better to discuss safety tips... Get your mind right in the drive way Most accidents happen during the first 15 minutes of a ride, below 40 mph, near an intersection or driveway. Yes, that could be your driveway... Keep your eyes moving Traffic is always shifting, so keep scanning for potential trouble. Don't lock your eyes on anyone thing for too long unless you're actually dealing with trouble. Keep the front brake covered always Save a single second of reaction time at 60 mph and you can stop 88 feet shorter. Think about that.
Wow thats about 10mins from my house thats a busy intersection. There's a stoplight at that intersection ummmm probably speeding or catching up on the green light....RIP
the car turned left in front of the motorcycle all at once so the motorcycle had no chance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there was no drugs or alcohol involved ,speed was not a factor just a bad miss take on both the car for turning in front of the motorcycle and the motorcycle for being in the wrong place at the wrong time . --- 30 years old ,,, Natahaneal Chirstian Cauchi . was his name
Not sure if they released the name or where you got it from. I really hope next of kin has been notified before posting that. As of last night they weren't notified yet
My prayers will be with the friends and family of Mr. Cauchi. We never know when it's our time to go, so we must enjoy every day we have.
Ever rider has a chance... because cars don't cause accidents... they only cause emergencies... it's up to the rider to avoid the accident... it's all part of a survivors mind set... Left turning cars remain a leading killer of motorcyclists... Don't assume someone will wait for you to dart through intersection... when faced with a left turn vehicle one must slow the closing rate... cover the front brake... be prepared for the worst... being surprised is the leading cause of panic... Assume you're invisible Because to a lot of drivers, you are. Never make a move based on the assumption that another driver sees you, even if you've just made eye contact Bikes don't always register in the four-wheel mind.
I know the name is correct, my friend pulled his I'd from his wallet.. There is a thing called respect, and it involves no publically posting the names of people who die before the family is notified. I am hoping the family was notified by the proper authorities before it's posted on a forum, that's all
So if the car turned left in front of him how exactly did he die? From the impact of hitting the car or did he get run over? Also how fast were they travelling? Any more informationor details? It will help other avoid the situation
