UPDATE: Called the SuperBike school today. Recommended that we sign up for March 15th as there are more BYOB spots available (16) as opposed to only 8 on Martch 16th. They have a few signups already and the schedule just came out yesterday so if you can afford it I would make a reservation as soon as possible. Saw that a few of you are interested in taking this next year, so lets get an SCR group together. I've done all the levels. It will teach you all the proper techniques and make your Ride that much sweeter. If SCR makes it out I'll see you guys at one of his events. We (wife and I) work with the mechanic and have a blast doing it.
450 for 1 day @ Laguna Seca. I'm definitely interested, but need to think about my budget. Would this be more beneficial if I have had a few more track days under my belt?
Maybe but I probably wont have any track days when we do this either. I think it'll make your first track day much better. Here's what they do at level 1: Level I addresses the six most common errors riders, from novice to world-class racers, make and why. You will realize exactly how they have stopped or slowed your own improvement as a rider. There will be a technical briefing for each one including on and off track drills that put you in control of them. Your assigned coach for the day will observe and correct any difficulties you are having with each drill. You will be coached as an individual, according to your skill level. You will improve. Students often comment that Level I answers questions they didn?t even know they had. Confidence and control are shattered when riders experience vague fears about turn entry speed, finding good lines, bike stability and their own rider-induced errors. These fears and uncertainties are addressed and replaced with confident and precise bike control. Within the boundaries of good sense and safety, the speed you ride is up to you. We are very particular about our track course control, we do have rules. Chief among them is: riders may not interfere with each other?s progress and safety. Because of this, after twenty-nine years and over ten million miles of track riding, the school has a phenomenal safety record. Check our schedule to find a date and track close to you.
Laguna Seca would be hot.... I'm thinkin Infineon for Level 1 though, easier to get to. What do you all think?
Wouldn't you want to be familiar with the track first. This way you could work on "you" rather than trying to remember if the next turn was a left or a right. Just a thought. -Cody
Agree, but at the same time this isn't a track day. Especially at lvl1 Didn't mean to imply though that you shouldn't go to the track first, I just don't think it should be a deal breaker.
