    That's amazing. Terminal velocity is around 120mph. Somehow they are able to defy physics.

    Terminal velocity is based on mass and wind resistance and changes based upon the object in question. Physics always wins.

    Mass has nothing to do with it. Acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s^2, the only opposing force is wind resistance.

    In a vacuum, a feather and a bowling ball will fall at the same rate, even though their masses are very different.

    I reckon some humans have fallen at speeds greater than 200 mph

    When talking about terminal velocity you must factor in the fluid resistance as you cannot reach a terminal velocity in a vacuum. Terminal velocity is by definition when the acceleration is equal to drag.

    oh, what I was originally going to say was I heard they named the Hayabusa (the bike) that because A) it is the worlds fastest bird, and B) Peregrine Falcons eat blackbirds (CBR1100XX blackbirds)

    Yup. I was just telling G Money that the other day. Pretty scandalous from a manufacturer if you ask me.

    I got to see some Peregrines when I was in Maine. They are amazingly acrobatic.
