Report to work in KSLC on Jan 25th. Man , this is starting to set in, tore the garage apart today, took down about 100 posters, each one had 4 staples in it,numerous framed pics and about 20 license plates, the man cave is dead. Tore down the shelving and the overhead flourescent lights, electrical mods, cords, pegboard with tooling. I have modified the crap out of this place and if I don't fix it back it will take an electrician many hours which I am sure they will charge me for. Took the blackout posterboard off of my bedroom windows, Tip, don't use fiberglass reinforced tape in areas of direct sunlight, I could smell it sometimes on the 110 deg. days and it was baked on, had to soak the entire window frame in kerosene for hours and rub that residue off with my fingers , tried goof off , but the window frame coating is so old and thin the coating was coming off and leaving a polished aluminum finish. Off to KSLC tomorrow. Man much more to do. I am sad as this is a tough decision for me , but the decision is made. I am still second guessing myself as I know nobody in KSLC but I am sure I will be o.k. just leaving so many friends and family behind, like I said this is tough. Just thought I would share as that is what SCR family is all about.
Moving? I just met you this weekend, really sorry to see you go, you are some of the power that moves SCR. Please let us know how things go for you in SLC, I lived there for a couple of years when I was in high school (honest I really did go!) I moved a lot as a kid, everywhere has it's good and bad, its what you make of it. No matter how you look at it, leaving friends is never fun. Good luck, you will be missed. Randy
OK I don't know what KSLC is but I know SLC. I know how it is to be uprooted from somewhere you have been established at. I just did it. I left my home town of PHX to be here in Elk Grove and closer to my wifes family because of my job. It has been difficult for me as I don't have any friends here but that is why I joined SCR to try and fill that void that I left. I'm sure you will do the same. Frequent the forum and post up. Make the best of it.
I'm going to miss you bunches Carl. So sad that it's only now that I'm finally getting the chance to hang out with you more. But like I always believe, each path our life takes us has a meaning...something leading towards many more good memories. Besides, you can't get rid of us that easily! ^_~ We're just an internet connection away. If you need any help with cleaning or fixing stuff I'd be happy to help out this weekend! Thanks to all and Pyxie, I will do it all myself as that is how I roll. Kinda weird as I am usually or at least have been a loaner and just within the past year started to open up and now , well you get my point. Crash pad available for trackdays at Miller. Will update this thread as I see fit and let all know what is going on as it may be helpful to someone that is about to go through something similiar and will also help me getting support from the many members on this site I will miss dearly.

You know my thoughts my friend and you will be missed. I guess it is like another of life's great adventures and you will have to take a lot of pictures to share with your family here.
