    Fantastic audiophile-level reciever. Still extremely competent and would make an amazing set-up paired with an equally good source (CD/SACD) and good monitors (speakers). Can still solidly drive a home theater's av requirements as well. I've kept it in OUTSTANDING condition - like new. Links to unit's description/full specs and some reviews:

    Oh no bro - that Pioneer is a beauty. This Yamaha unit is pre-HDMI so it will be fine for those not needing HDMI connectivity. But it's absolutely kickass musically. Pair it with some really good speakers and this: (via optical)... and you're in business!

    W@W!! I had recently placed a new AV cabinet in my listening room and decided to place some gear in it to see how everything would fit. I hooked up this receiver to my CD player (also listed for sale) via Toslink and played some Diana Krall through my Acoustic Research AR15s last night and was blown away!! I had just recently assigned the bookshelf AR15s as my mains because I no longer have the space to use my classic JBL Control 10s ? so the ARs are now actually just breaking in? and made Krall?s vocals simply mesmerizing last night. Receiver has gobs of power and the CD player with ?PlayXchange? made switching CD (while music is in play) a breeze. But more than anything, both worked flawlessly and sounded beautiful! This is making think twice about selling this gear! :drool5:

    Hey... after listening to the Pioneer Elite SC-25 through a pair of Martin Logan Preface speakers - I'm sold!

    So I need to sell the Yamaha. Great reciever... hell of a deal!!
