So I went on the Sat. morning ride this morning and all was going pretty well, wentworth was a bit of a mess until after stumpy meadows but the fun parts were nice. Afterwards we decided to take icehouse down to 50. We were riding a pretty relaxed pace and keeping together when we came up on a car. Of course everybody had the power to get around it except for me so I lagged behind until I could pass. After the pass I was putting on a little extra speed to catch up to the group and went into a moderately tight right hander I estimate at about 45mph. I didn't pay attention to the fact that there were trees shading the road and making it pretty wet and about half way through the turn the front tire slid out on me. My bike and I ended up on the opposite shoulder about 2 feet from a damn good size boulder but otherwise okay. I have to say my gear saved me big time today, I was breaking in my FULL track gear and walked away without so much as a scratch or bump. My BKS suit held up perfectly having suffered only minor surface scuffs with the knee pucks taking the biggest hit and I am so glad I gave up my customary blue jeans starting today. The bike broke the right rear set bracket and hand bar making the ride home very challenging otherwise its just cosmetic. Hopefully my bike will be track worthy by the 2nd and Ill see you all at Thill.

On a side note I was just saying today how much I would like some new tires because I was worried the stock ones wouldn't be able to handle my riding much longer, guess I shouldn't have said anything. Anyway does anybody want to buy a 250 thats been tipped over in the garage once or twice at 30-45mph?

dang, Adam. You're the 3rd thread about crashing this weekend...
regardless... i'm glad to hear you're better off than worse. From the sounds of it, you're not in a hospital, nor did you go to one, so you must be relatively okay.

as for tires... at least you know it most likely wasn't "you" that caused to slip.
... let's just wait for that WCM group buy ;)

lol if he keeps going down like this, he's gonna get bored of it and fall asleep while he's falling off! :p

Someone will probably run to his rescue one day and find him taking a nap.... :biggrinjester:

He will just say.... "ahh was too lazy to park it properly so i just took the easy way and went off the side"

    haha love ya bro.

I dont normally post on these "Crashing" threads, but, there were way too many just in this weekend.
    Slow the fuck down!
A deer,or dog, oil, etc........ is an acceptable reason to me. But needing a "Crash Analysis" just means that you are pushing at the wrong times.
My rant is now over. If ya'll are wearing your gear, BRAVO! glad ur ok!
    Peace,
    Chance.
